Seven public baths with different architectural design are located along the Otani River and near Kinosaki Onsen Station.

Ko-no-Yu

It is a public bath located at the end of the town.

It is said that the waters here were discovered when an Oriental White Stork healed its wounds in the waters about 1400 years ago.

There is a garden open-air bath.

  • Closed every Tuesday

​Ichi-no-Yu

A great doctor praised the waters as the best in Japan in terms of healing properties about three hundred years ago.

There is a half open-air cave bath.

  • Closed every Wednesday

​Sato-no-Yu

It is a public bath just next to the Kinosaki Onsen Station.

It is a public bath with outdoor bath featuring a beautiful view of the Maruyama River and various saunas.

  • 800 yen for adults, 400 yen for children

  • Open from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm

  • Closed every Monday

Mandara-Yu

It is a public bath on the mountainside.

It is said that the waters here were brought forth after a priest who opened the Onsenji Temple prayed for a thousand days.

There is a pottery-made bath.

  • Open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

  • Closed every Wednesday

Yanagi-Yu

The waters are said to have sprung from under the willow tree transplanted from the Lake Seiko, a scenic spot in China.

The temperature of the waters here is a little higher than the others and its bathtub is a little deeper.

  • 700 yen for adults, 350 yen for children

  • Open from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm

  • Closed every Thursday

Gosyo-no-Yu

It was named after the emperor's older sister bathed here about six hundred years ago.

The architecture is inspired by the Kyoto Imperial Palace, and the interior bath commands a bright view of the sky with an expansive glass ceiling.

  • 700 yen for adults, 350 yen for children

  • Open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

  • Closed every first and third Thursdays of the month

​Zizo-Yu

Walking the Eki-dori Street from the station, this public bath is just across the river.

It is said that a holy statue was found from the source of a hot spring.

  • 700 yen for adults, 350 yen for children

  • Open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm

  • Closed every Friday

  • Guest staying at a ryokan get a free pass which gives access to all of seven public baths.
  • There is also a one day ticket available for day trip visitors. The ticket is 1300 yen for adults and 650 yen for children.

HOW TO ENJOY THE ONSEN

Please be aware of the following to bathe in a fun public hot spring bath.
  • please take off your clothes and take a small towel with you into shower area.You can use it to wash at the showers,and dry off excess water before returning to the changing room.
  • Before entering the bathwater,please wash your body at the showers first.
  • Please do not put your small towel into the bathwater.It is important to keep the bathwater clean for all the users.
  • Please use the small towel to dry off excess water from your body before returning to the changing room.The will prevent the floors from becoming slippery.
  • The use of any devices with camera functions is prohibited.
